Spitfire Paint & Fire is an Art & Ceramics Workshop Studio facility based at the Queenstown Art Gallery on the corner Stanley & Ballarat Streets in beautiful Queenstown, NZ. We also offer a Mobile Art & Ceramic service for private events & parties. We can teach Children, Adults & Groups so you can have fun painting your own pottery (ceramics) or we teach you new and creative ways with mixed media, mosaics, art - painting & different paint effects.
Ceramics - A great way of creating that special gift for a friend or family member or you paint an entire dinner set for yourself. You simply select a piece of dinnerware from jugs, bowls, cups, plates, bowls, coaster, animals, platters etc that you would like to paint your design onto and then we fire it for you in our special kiln and you return to collect it in a week. We provide the ceramics, paints, designs and assistance plus we glaze and fire it for you! You only pay for the ceramic you paint, no other costs.

Classes are available (timetable coming soon) Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and some weekend workshops. We also hire public venues from time to time and advertise for pre-bookings. These Venue Art & Pottery Parties normally take place on a Saturday & Sunday and week nights (Bookings are essential & subject to availability). It normally takes about 1.5 hours to complete painting your item. The Ceramic item will be ready for pickup in 5-7 days and is dishwasher/food safe and can be enjoyed forever!
Sometimes the 'Venue' can be licensed which means you can even pre-order cheeseboards and have coffee and wine while you paint!
PAINT & FIRE IS A GREAT IDEA FOR GROUPS CELEBRATING:
We have many items for you to paint such as plates, bowls, mugs, animals, platters etc. Most items are from $16 upwards to $80 and this includes us glazing and firing it for you. You don’t need to be creative or artistic to paint ceramics. We have many designs to choose from and we provide everything you need to paint a personalized plate for yourself, that special person or occasion.

An ideal opportunity for Plunket groups, coffee groups, family groups or just come along on your own with your baby/toddler. It will only take about half an hour to complete the painting and you will have that very special plate to keep forever! - Mobile Children's Parties, Corporate Team Building Sessions, Toddlers & Schools with Hand / Foot Print sessions, attending School Fete's, Craft Fairs, garden tours, Scout Groups, School Visits, Community Group & Church get togethers and ideal for school holiday group bookings.

- The Art Teacher is a NZQA Qualified Artist, Professional Artist & Teacher and also has NZQA National Certificate in Childcare. However, please note at least 1 parent must provide supervision for childrens group bookings as we do not provide child care as well as tuition and individual children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
