Art Auction for the Branches Charity Trust

8/3/2015

I was very proud to support the Branches Trust Art and Hors d'oeurves Evening last Friday evening in Queenstown.  Arranged by the Queenstown Art Centre, I put forward a Limited Edition Peonie Giclee Print for Auction.   This did sell and I am happy I contributed to raising funds towards this great endeavor for children.

'Hi Lyndal, Thank you very much for supporting the Branches Trust Art and Hors d'oeurves Evening, raising funds to support this all important camp for our local youngsters.  This year we raised an initial total of $14,000 for the Trust.  We enjoy the opportunity of profiling our local artists in our efforts to contribute a financial benefit for an iconic local camp.

Many, many thanks for your ongoing support and contribution to our event.

Kind Regards
Vinny McCorkindale
on behalf of the Branches Trust'

Contemporary realism captured in oils on canvas in soft peach, grey, touches of muted pink and the depths of burgundy fading into black. I love the form of these flowers, simple yet complex and the colour changes within each petal - a true challenge to paint. Peonies have been my signature work with a painting currently in progress in my studio at the Queenstown Art Gallery which is 4 x this size.

Another studio location at the Queenstown Art Gallery

I'm really looking forward to making a start and creating large scale works for my next exhibition later this year based from the Queenstown Art Gallery.  A fantastic, white, light and airy private studio creates the perfect environment for my enormous canvases which need to be painted on site due to their size and then be displayed for the Cocktail Party / Art Show.

We are currently arranging a Luxury Promotional Sponsorship Campaign for local businesses to market their services within our Client Gift Bags which will be given to each and every guest on the opening night of the Art Show.  The style of the paintings will be LUXURY - themed around gold, silver, diamonds, mirror, vintage and black & white with a few surprises.  Very calm, etheral and very unique art pieces designed for huge spaces within private residences or businesses.

We will keep you posted - please contact us if you are interested in being a part of the Sponsorship Campaign or would like to put your name on the Guest List.

In the meantime - it's time to pick up the paintbrush and get creative!!!!

PORTRAITS IN PASTEL

Pastel Commissions of Babies, Children & Pets - now available

It's an exciting time with the launch of my newest venture - Portraits in Pastel.  Watch this space for photos of the latest commissions and updates on works in progress.  Pastel is a lovely medium which gives such a realistic image but with that old world, traditional look whilst still incorporating the detail and blending.  Now you can treasure or give as a gift that special 'original and unique' portrait in pastel.

Portraits in Pastel of your little ones, your babies, toddlers and family portraits.  Also your beloved Pets, from Cats & Dogs to Horses & Birds - any animal you wish to have immortalized in an 'original' pastel picture.  A touching gift for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christmas and Memorial Portraits.

There are several sizes available - based on 1 study (person/animal) and an additional fee(s) for additional subjects and more detailed backgrounds rather than just the standard 'muted' background.  These will be set out in general soon under Pricing, however they are always subject to our Consultation on an individual basis before confirmation of the portrait fee.

Once we have had our Consultation, in which you will need to provide a clear colour photograph (a copy of your original is preferred) as I do not have the time within my schedule for private sittings, then 50% of the confirmed portrait fee is required prior to the start of the Pastel Commissision with the remaining on collection.  The confirmed fee is inclusive of all materials and time.

I will advise you depending on current bookings of the expected date of completion of the Portrait and I will contact you to collect your Portrait within 3 days (earlier or later) than that date, dependent on the work schedule for current bookings.

I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your wishes for your Original Portrait in Pastel
